Sound
Their debut Antidotes arrived steeped in math rock — Yannis’ guitar locked against Jack Bevan’s stuttering drums in a style influenced by Don Caballero and Battles. With each record they shed complexity for weight: Holy Fire introduced arena dynamics, What Went Down opened with one of the most brutal riffs of the 2010s, and the Everything Not Saved diptych earned them their first UK #1.
“We want to be bigger than Radiohead, bigger than Oasis. I’m not ashamed to say that.” — Yannis Philippakis
